Request Consultation

Consultations work well for experienced gardeners, new gardeners, and non-gardeners who simply would like an idea of which native plants they might request their regular landscapers add to their yards. Consultations are also the first step if you don't have time for planting and you'd like us to design and install your new landscape. Consultations come with support: For up to a year following our consultation, you're welcome to email or call us up to six times if you need assistance or have questions along the way (we prefer emails and calls over texts, please!). 

Consultation Rates:

• Basic: $150 for an hour and a half ($75 each additional half hour) + drive fee (Drive fee is $1.00 per mile, one-way, from 8310 Emerald Meadow Lane, Humble, TX, 77396, so a distance twenty miles away would be $20). With the basic consultation, we encourage you to take notes as we recommend plants that would grow well and look attractive in your yard, but we do not compile and send you a customized plant list after our visit.
• With Plant List:  $150 for an hour and a half ($50 each additional half hour) + customized plant list with live links + drive fee  (Drive fee is $1.00 per mile, one-way, from 8310 Emerald Meadow Lane, Humble, TX, 77396, so a distance twenty miles away would be $20). Plant list rates vary by number of plants. Payment options: Zelle, Venmo, and paper check. Payments due 48 hours before appointment.

Customized Plant Lists: If you'd like a customized list of plants well-suited for specific areas in your yard, we will email you a list that includes the common name, botanical name, and a link to information about the plants we recommended during our visit (Many links lead to Texas' best native plant database, Wildflower.org). If you're also requesting a landscape design, the plant names will be on the designs you receive, so an additional plant list would be unnecessary unless you would also like to receive a list that includes the botanical names and live links to info and photos of the plants in your design.
   Plant List Rates:

• $100 for list with 20-35 plants (typical for an hour consultation)
• $125 for list with 35-50 plants (typical for an hour or an hour and a half consultation)
• $150 for list with more than 50 plants (typical for a 1.5 or 2 hour + consultation on multi-acres properties)

How consultations work:

1. Please request a consultation by clicking on the "Consultation Form" button below. 
2. We will set up an appointment time and send you an invoice. If you have any questions about the invoice, please let us know before your appointment.
3. During your appointment, you'll meet with husband-wife landscape consultants team, Glenn Olsen and Elizabeth White-Olsen.  Feel free to ask as many questions and take as many notes as you'd like, including even drawing beds and adding recommended plants as we go along.
